Mohamed Salah Issues Statement to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Salah apologised to the team following the controversy from his public comments.

The striker was dropped from a vital match after criticising the club and claiming his connection to the head coach had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.
Looking Ahead
Jones insisted that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
Jones also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
On-Field Response
Their results have remained strong in the games following the initial controversy. Jones believes the outburst were never meant to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and securing victories.”
